ENERGY ACADEMY VR
The Energy Academy is an educational VR experience in which users learn the fundamental concepts of sustainable energy and connections in safe-guarding planet Earth. The sun-to-planet energy flow, human changed climate, and photosynthesis on a molecular level are examples of experiences that students and researchers can witness and learn about. Initial project development was funded by the Yale Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking and Avangrid Renewables.

UX JOURNEY
Visitors experience the sun-to-planet energy flow, a human-changed climate, photosynthesis, and renewable energy sources as the core “domes” and learning experiences of EA. The user begins on the campus and enters the Observatory dome-- the largest dome and central learning experience. The Observatory features a trip to space to witness the solar system and sun-to-planet energy flow. The user returns and enters the next dome, the Terrarium (Photosynthesis Lab), and then proceeds around the ring to each subsequent experience, finishing where they started: the sun.
